The presentation introduced interim findings from the TransScale project, highlighting:

  • Theoretical models integrating Circular and Sharing Economy (CSE) practices;
  • Key barriers and enablers for scaling circular business models in urban environments;
  • Comparative case studies from Latvia, Denmark, and Norway;
  • The role of digital platforms, governance innovation, and stakeholder collaboration in scaling circular initiatives.

Particular focus was given to practical Latvian examples such as Nomales Recycling Center and Snow Recycle, showcasing how local entrepreneurship and community engagement can lead to measurable environmental and economic benefits.

This contribution sparked meaningful discussions on transdisciplinary cooperation, digital transformation, and policy integration, aligning with the broader goals of TransScale to support sustainable urban innovation across Europe.

Stay tuned for upcoming publications and workshops as TransScale continues shaping pathways toward a greener, circular future.
