As part of Work Package 1 (WP1) within the TransScale project, a Training Workshop on Future Literacy Labs (FLLs) was conducted in collaboration with Riel Miller from UNESCO. This workshop took place during the project’s kick-off event from March 5th to March 6th, 2024 in Nordic Institute for Studies in Innovation, Research and Education (NIFU), Oslo, Norway.
The initiation of FLLs aims to foster a deeper understanding of future studies and anticipation, moving beyond traditional foresight practices. Unlike predictive approaches, anticipation seeks to uncover existing preconceptions of the future. Drawing from the principles of Futures Literacy, participants are equipped with the tools to explore and navigate uncertainties, biases, fears, and hopes surrounding future scenarios.
